This is the second release by Bam Bam´s Boogie and their debut LP. Son Of A Black Panther is not just an album, it is a story of spiritual revolution, told by the songs that are full of groove, funk and soul melodies, compelling atmospheres and acid electronic sounds.

This album is also about a story of a man and his son:

On August 27, 1945 twin brothers Calvin and Alvin were born in the small town of Shreveport, Louisiana. The two eventually relocated to Los Angeles, California, and the pair was affectionately known as ‚double trouble‘ to friends and neighbors.

Growing up during troubled times, and recognizing the urgent need for social change, Calvin became an active member of the black panther party. Although he was not a media-recognized spokesperson for the group, he participated heavily in activities to keep his community safe, leading to many confrontations with police and law enforcement officials.

Within the movement, Calvin associated closely with notable allies, such as: Angela Davis, Elaine Brown, Fred Hampton, Eldridge Cleaver, Ericka Huggins, Kathleen Cleaver, Huey P. Newton, Barbara Easley, and Bobby Seale. Together, they worked tirelessly to strengthen the movement. As time passed, however, many of the panther members either died or went to prison, leaving the organization fractured, at a time when the country was collectively facing a new challenge: the rising conflict in the east. It became clear that a different path was on the horizon for this young man.

The revolution continues today through Calvin’s bloodline. With one son in particular standing out as a voice of change and a catalyst of human development, the son of a black panther is now pushing the boundaries through his work as a musician, keeping the rebellion alive via a Spiritual Revolution!
